We stopped Joy in the hall to ask for her assessment of the conference on the last day of sessions.

Photos between sessions

In between sessions, you’re out in the halls networking, catching up, swapping ideas and making new connections – one of the biggest benefits of attending conference.

“When I get back from conference, I share what I learned with my peers,” said Joanne Lane, a member of the Litigation Support Peer Group Steering Committee.

The giant chaise lounge chairs in the halls proved very popular – and crowded.

Sherwood proved to be the perfect bouncer for the very crowded room that hosted ILTA U. He came up with the clever idea of making sure attendees of Sharepoint Part 1 were stamped on the hand to guarantee their spots at Sharepoint Part 2.

ILTA U SharePoint session at max capacity

This morning’s ILTA U session on SharePoint Basics was at maximum capacity today, with attendees willing to forego a hands-on turn at the computer in order to be in the room.

Mark Allen, director of information services at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis in Philadelphia, told me his firm is very curious about the server technology and is considering migrating its content and records. “I think everyone’s here because it’s really hot right now. I need to understand migration, capabilities, implementation…everything.”

There’s a Part 2 to the session at 11:00 this morning.

Video: From an ILTA first-timer

Just before the vendor event on Monday, we spoke to Martin Rivera, a first-time ILTA conference attendee. Martin is the network administrator for a small firm in Houston, Boyar & Miller. Here’s what he had to say about his first day of conference.

Tim Sanders got rave reviews from attendees yesterday, with folks saying they left with lots of useful information and ideas. We hope you left with a little inspiration, too.

Despite the fact that we were in one of the largest rooms in the hotel,  it was standing room only for this morning event. In fact, quite a few of the session rooms were standing room only. We’re always happy to squeeze in more session participants! Please make sure to be courteous and discrete when entering and leaving the room.

Thurs 8/28: Law Dept Roundtables

We’re rounding up all Law Department Peer Group members to attend our annual Roundtable meetings.

We have two Roundtable meetings scheduled on Thursday afternoon. You won’t want to miss these! This is your chance to hear from your peers – an opportunity to pose questions to the group – or just to listen in.

Always a success, these interactive sessions are invaluable. Let us know if you’re coming. See you there!
