ILTA U SharePoint session at max capacity

This morning’s ILTA U session on SharePoint Basics was at maximum capacity today, with attendees willing to forego a hands-on turn at the computer in order to be in the room.

Mark Allen, director of information services at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis in Philadelphia, told me his firm is very curious about the server technology and is considering migrating its content and records. “I think everyone’s here because it’s really hot right now. I need to understand migration, capabilities, implementation…everything.”

There’s a Part 2 to the session at 11:00 this morning.

  1. Any one hear the air time Yipes got at Monday’s user-group? Rather interesting. Our firm is rapidly expanding and we need to migrate to a new network. I have only been handling our IT systems for a short period of time, but hearing the kudos they received for availability, latency and performance warrants some follow up questions. I just wanted to say that I had a good experience talking to the folks at their booth – I think they are now called Reliance Globalcom.

They really know their stuff and were able to give a decent evaluation of what I’m looking for. I recommend checking them out if you get a chance.
